You know what I wish I could do? I wish I could start a ballet school where I go around and find boys and girls from all over the world who don’t have families taking care of them, and provide them with dance training and education and counseling services and a church and a part-time adoptive family. I’d teach them to be healthy—not to be skinny. I could start a revolution: dancers who were classically trained in both ballet and Duncan modern, with flawless technique, but who were between 120-150 pounds depending on height. People would realize that you don’t have to be skinny to join a ballet company, any more than you have to have flawless turnout or high arches or 32 foutees.

And you know why you’re so awesome? Because if I was really serious about any of that, if I reached a point in my life where I wanted to pursue it, you would support me, advise me, lead me, and help me, rather than tell me all the reasons why it wouldn’t work. (you might break that news to me later, but you’d at least be nice about it.)

I can’t tell you how much it means to me that SOMEBODY out there believes that I can really meet my goals.

Luckily, my other goals, like being a wife and mother, are things you can totally help with ;)
